SPRING AT FERNDALE NURSERY
Ah, Spring has sprung, season of renewal and rebirth, bringer of green shoots and delicate blossoms. Longer days and (slightly) warmer temperatures are calling you into the garden. But bedraggled flower beds and half empty pots are instructing you to visit Ferndale first!
You will find us slightly changed. Errol and Paul are still in charge. Trevor can still fix anything. The Quacker ducks are still cheeky and the cats, Emma and Ginger still nap the day away. But our glorious old oak fell in July. And so, in it's eightieth year of existence, our family business finds itself with a clearer mountain view and three newly planted water oaks. Already, pigeons and witoggies are making themselves at home. The owls seem less impressed, but we are keeping our fingers crossed.
Yes, we are eighty! When Eric and Barbara Tichart began selling plants on the Grand Parade all those years ago, could they have imagined that eight decades later we would still be going strong?
So whether you want herbs or hand spades, bedding plants or benches, topiaries or topsoil, koi or kalanchoes, come and visit the company that has been greening the Constantia Valley for three generations.
If you need assistance with controlling pests, sowing seed, lawn maintenance, planting bulbs or growing veggies, we stand ready to help.
Look forward to seeing you soon...
